| The City |

Costa do Sauípe complex includes five top international hotels, six theme inns, and others, offering a complete infrastructure for both leisure and sports. For those who are interested in business trips, the complex offers an infrastructure for serving 3.5 thousand people attending to congresses, conventions, meetings, and workshops. All the hotels offer infrastructure for events.
The theme inns are located in Vila Nova da Praia, a typical Oceanside village, which offers a very romantic atmosphere shown by a colonial chapel and its streets with paving stones. Each inn was created according to a specific theme, related to both Bahia’s history and culture.
Vila Nova da Praia is an entertainment center, which perfectly reproduces a small Brazilian town. You will find handcraft shops, bars, restaurants, a show club, a bank, a cyber coffee shop, a cultural center, a travel agency and an eco-travel agency. It is a place that invites the visitor to rest on a hammock and read a good book, as well as to enjoy the beaches, serenades and typical local parties.

Costa do Sauipe is a mega enterprise in one of the most beautiful landscapes of the northern coast of Bahia. The beauty of this region starts in the extremely beautiful Linha Verde (Green Line), the Oceanside road that connects the states of Bahia and Sergipe, and adds a unique beauty to the region, in a completely preserved environment.
The complex was constructed according to a landscape project, which aimed to integrate it to the natural local environment. The project included the original local vegetation, such as coconut palm trees, mangroves, sandbanks, dunes, rivers, and lakes, besides stretches of Mata Atlântica.

CLIMATE
The Coconut Coast lies within the tropics and enjoys a year-round temperature between 20 and 30 centigrade. In the summer it is not as humid as Rio for instance, as breezes blow in from the Atlantic.
CLOTHING
Light weight clothing is suitable all year round and casual clothes are the norm.
ELECTRICITY
Usually 110 Volts, but some hotel have 220 volts in the rooms.
AIRPORT
From the airport in Salvador it is about a one hour trip along the excellent coastal road to Costa do Sauipe.
TAXIS
Although there are no official taxis there are plenty of van drivers who are willing to negotiate and take you where you want to go.

By air
Costa do Sauípe is 76 km far from Salvador’s International Airport and offers a exclusive bus line to the complex.
By land
For those who come from the south, from Salvador, they should take the Estrada do Coco in Itapuã and go ahead for 50km until getting to Praia do Forte, where the Linha Verde (BA-099) starts. Go for more 26km.
Coming from the Northeast, you should take the Linha Verde in Sergipe or in Bahia. Costa do Sauípe is 117km far from Mangue Seco (Jandaíra), in the boundary with Sergipe.
All the hotels offer transportation service to the airport. The most indicated is the choice for one of the packages offered by the travel agencies, which already include air tickets (round trip), many times with lower prices. For those with adventure spirit, there are other options, such as regular bus lines from Salvador to the Forte Beach. There, you may rent a car by a daily rate of R$ 150. Another mean is using the bus that takes to the Sauípe Beach.
